Joseph Tepfer, CPA

Mr. Tepfer is a Senior Advisor at Fairhills, consulting on a variety of financial and accounting matters regarding the firm and fund offerings. For over 30 years Joe has been advising a wide array of financial service clients including broker dealers, hedge funds, fund of funds and private equity funds. Joe became a tax partner at the regional public accounting firm of Oppenheim Appel Dixon in 1988 & then went on to become a tax partner at accounting firm Grant Thornton LLC. From 1995-2010 Joe was a tax partner at Ernst & Young LLC where he helped launch their entry into the alternative asset management practice focusing on US & foreign hedge funds with the full gamut of trading strategies.

Mr. Tepfer received a B.S. in Accounting from Brooklyn College in 1976 and a J.D. in Law from Brooklyn Law School in 1979. Since his retirement in from Ernst & Young in 2010, Joe continues to act as advisor to the members of the hedge fund industry through his firm TEOJ Consulting LLC.
